by CaptainSchmideo inone for mit last month, and one for princeton tonight.. if i told this to people at my old hall, i am sure the reaction would be the same as if i broke a big, noisy windblast in front of them.. but i have to brag about it to someone, so, i will do it here.. .
we will not know anything about whether he is going to be accepted for a couple of months yet, but, as they say, this $%^# just got real!.

I noticed other JW trigger words like Truth and Survive throughout as well. There are probably plenty of others that flashed by too fast for me to catch them on first glance. I'm buying their album. Hope others will too. I wish them every success. Glad to see anybody escape from the cult, but I'm especially glad when they do it in a big way and show others there IS life after the Watchtower.

The whole album is available on the US iTunes Store for $9.99. Sounds pretty good. They're very talented. I hope they go all the way to the top.

I've been running into JWs a lot lately. Some in person, others more by proxy. Last week, just as I was about to leave home for an appointment, the doorbell rang. Yep, you guessed it. Two young and very earnest JWs were there with the latest line of bland patter designed to pique the interest of some naive householder. As I was in a rush, I just said, "I'm an ex-JW and I'm about to leave for a doctor's appointment." And that was that. They put away their literature and mosied on over to the next house.
I've been in Cambridge UK for the last few days on business. I was off today, so decided to take the train down to London to do some sightseeing. About 15 minutes after leaving the Cambridge station, I was watching the scenery on the left side of the train when what should appear but a big JW.ORG sign in someone's backyard, right next to the tracks. I know my fellow passengers thought I'd lost my mind when I suddenly began laughing and shaking my head at apparently nothing.
Last instance: earlier this evening, exhausted for walking around London all day, I finally wound up back at the King's Cross Station to catch my train back to Cambridge. Standing on the pavement outside the station was an admittedly attractive young woman holding out JW mags in both hands, apparently trying to entice someone to engage her in conversation. I was so tired I just walked on by. I didn't really want to ruin her day by getting my aposta-cooties on her anyway.
Like I said, they're everywhere. Y'all be careful out there...

Hi Kate!
If you'll tell me the exact model of your phone and which browsers you've tried, I will do some research and get back to you with some suggestions.
Take care,

Hi Kate!
Try using a different web browser, if your phone permits it. I couldn't post using Safari on my iPhone. Another poster here suggested using Atomic Web instead, and it works great. You can even tell Atomic Browser which "full-size" (not mobile) browser to emulate. I have mine set to identify itself as Firefox 15. I don't have Firefox itself on my iPhone.
I dont' know if Atomic Browser will work on your phone, but it or a similar browser may make all the difference as far as posting here goes.
Take care.

Do you think JWs know what apostates really are?
by KateWild inmy friend was slagging off one of my other friends saying they have been known to say apotate things.
she does apostate things herself without realising it.
she meant well because she fears the word apostate as i once did, but she openly says to me my jc was lacking in holy spirit.. she doesn't have a clue what apostacy really is she just wants me not to mix with ones who have been known said "apostate things".

What's kinda funny but sad is almost all JW converts are apostates from one religion or another. And Jesus was defnitely an apostate Jew. Of course, they hate it when you point that out.
They whine about persecution when a "new one's" family opposes their studying with the Witnesses, but then do even worse to their own family if one of them starts having doubts, learns TTATT, or dare I say it, questions the Faithless Indiscreet Slavemaster. How many times have we heard about teens being put on the street as soon as they hit 18 if they don't want to be Witnesses? I consider that nothing less than institutionalized hypocrisy. When I talked to my sister about that famous July 2009 Awake! article that said no one should have to choose between their family and their beliefs, she actually said, "That doesn't apply to us because we have the Truth!" Blanking unbelievable...

"I'm thinking of getting reinstated just so I can get my family back."
by Julia Orwell inthis was just said to me by a friend who was disfellowshipped just over 2 years ago.
she just had a miscarriage, and her partner dumped her rather than supported her through this process.
she told her jw parents, and they refuse to even call her or offer her any emotional support.

This is such a messed up cult. I feel really bad for your friend. I hope she doesn't get sucked in and fall victim to the emotional blackmail she's going through.
